The Fernwood Snake Plant's pattern of dark green and lighter gray-green looks a bit like a snake's skin. Sansevieria Fernwood Mikado has sharp and pointed leaves that look like green spears sticking point up from the ground. It is differentiated from the sansevieria cylindica by the concave channels running up the leaves which are lacking in the cylindrica variants of the snake plant.

The snake plant is one of the hardest houseplants to kill through neglect. It can sit in a dark corner of your room, and as long as it gets water a dozen or so times a year, it will survive. It will grow much faster, however, with bright light, water each time it's thoroughly dry, and the judicious use of liquid houseplant fertilizer in the water during the spring and summer months according to the manufacturer's directions.

The Snake Plant can grow more than three feet tall. Because it grows so big and requires little care, it is a common sight in business lobbies. It adds a bit of life and greenery, without requiring much care. The snake plant is so durable and resilient that it s often mistaken for an artificial plant, almost never showing signs of distress from neglect- except in the most extreme cases.

You will receive one snake plant potted in a four inch container. These plants are thoroughly rooted with vibrant new growth. Each plant 4" nursery pot will have several shoots from one or more main root bundles. The snake plant will add new shoots to the pot from time to time and send new leaves up from the base as it grows and matures.

The Fernwood Mikado Snake Plant is characterize by long, round, spear-shaped leaves that are stiff and stand upright. The leaves taper to a point near the top.

The Fernwood Snake Plant can tolerate a wide range of indoor temperatures from 60-85 degrees continually, and a fair bit more to either side for short durations.

Arrived on time, and very securely packaged. I do wish there was either more dirt or it was planted a little bit deeper, but it's beautiful.
