The Curly Spider Plant, Chlorophytum comosum 'Bonnie' differs from the ordinary spider plant in the shape of its leaves. The Bonnie Spider Plant or Curly Spider Plant has leaves that curl tightly. This gives the baby spider that hang down on long runners from the mother plant look a bit more claw-like than regular spider plant babies. Like the conventional spider plant, the Curly version is well suited to a hanging pot that allows it to send its young trailing down through the air on long runner shoots. Like the regular spider plant, its leaves are variegated, green with white or ivory-colored stripes running down the interior of each leaf. The flowers are small and white, but plentiful when it blooms. The flowers form on long runners like the baby spider plants.
You can choose an unrooted, unpotted Curly Spider Plant that can be easily rooted in water or potting mix or a fully rooted Curly Spider Plant potted in a 4" nursery pot with established roots and prolific new growth.
These spider plants are shipping from New Hampshire. We offer and highly recommend adding one of our 72 hour heat packs if temperatures are going to be below 45 degrees between your location and ours. We've priced the heat packs to just cover our costs because we want your plant to arrive in top condition.
